Rebecca Karp: A City & State's 40 Under 40 Rising Star
Updated: Jan 22, 2020
The Karp Strategies team is thrilled to congratulate our founding CEO, Rebecca Karp, on her selection to City & State’s 2018 NYC 40 Under 40 Rising Stars. Each year, City & State identifies 40 cross-sector trailblazers who are working at the heart of government, business, advocacy, academia, and more to propel our city forward. This year’s cohort is creating impressive change throughout the boroughs, from advocating for social policy change to running for office, from starting companies to running campaigns.
Rebecca Karp started Karp Strategies in 2015 after serving at the NYC Department of Small Business Services, the NYC Economic Development Corporation, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and working with BuroHappold Engineering. She founded the firm at her kitchen table, and graduated to the Brooklyn Public Library’s Info Commons soon thereafter in search of solidarity. Now in its fourth year, Karp Strategies is a WBE and DBE-certified firm with offices based in Lower Manhattan, and a team of ten urban planning, real estate, and policy strategists. We serve clients across sectors and disciplines to tackle their most challenging urban issues.
Congratulations to all of this year’s Rising Stars; Karp Strategies thanks you for your contributions to our great city. We cannot wait to see all you will accomplish, and stand with you in partnership as we work together to achieve our collective goals.
