On December 11, Karp Strategies attended "Open Space Dialogues: New Perspectives on Development + Design," organized by New Yorkers for Parks. Across presentations, panel discussions, and audience Q&A, leaders in field of design, planning, development, and government discussed how transformative public spaces fit into the larger urban fabric. As the group tackled the effects of everything from the High Line to street median greening by NYC DOT, issues of equity, affordable housing, and gentrification were top of mind for panelists and the audience alike.
