As a Senior Analyst at Karp Strategies, Erik merges his experience in community engagement and mixed-methods research on community and economic development, environmental resilience, and renewable energy projects. Trained as an urban planner and data analyst, Erik brings a passion for racial, socioeconomic, and spatial justice to his work. Prior to joining Karp Strategies, Erik worked in affordable housing development finance as an intern at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development. He brings additional experience as a summer school teacher and curriculum developer for 5th-10th grade students. Erik has a B.A. in Urban Studies from Stanford University and a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University GSAPP. In his free time, Erik enjoys riding his bike, playing the drums, and avidly following Chicago pro sports.
